The Spring Alumni Game tradition is back, and BYU Football has recently announced who will be coming back to play. On Friday, March 5, football alums will be returning to campus to play a friendly game of two-hand touch football (though tackling could take this tradition from good to great). This year's game will feature some newcomers to the game, while bringing back some alumni game favorites. Here is your official guide to who you should watch for.

Returning quarterbacks include some all-time greats mixed in with several fan favorites. BYU's all-time winningest QB, Max Hall will be playing in yet another alumni game, with former 5-Star recruit Jake Heaps and record-breaker James Lark backing him up for Team Navy. For Team Royal,
Brandon Doman, the hero of LaVell's last game in the 2000 Holy War, will headline, with Riley Nelson and his lion's heart and Jackson Brown participating as well.

Legendary Game Winners

BYU fans have witnessed many incredible game-winning plays, and the players who made them will be making their returns to LaVell Edwards Stadium this month. Among them are the 2015 Hail Mary haulers Mitch Mathews and Mitchell Juergens. Jonny Harline, who delivered the dagger in the 2006 Holy War will represent team Navy, and Tanner Balderree, who scooped up a fumble and turned it into the game-winning touchdown against Mississippi State will also be playing.

NFL Talent

Several players who spent significant time in the NFL will also be showing out in this year's edition of the Alumni Game. Former Ravens tight end, Dennis Pitta, will be playing this year, as well as former Colts wide receiver, Austin Collie will be sure to haul in some long-bombs (but now, he won't have Peyton Manning actively trying to kill him by throwing into traffic). LB Uani Unga will also fly around the field, so keep a lookout for him. Even Chad Lewis will be present, though he'll be in a limited coaching capacity.

Cougar Greats

I thought about listing some of the all-time greats that would take the field for this alumni game, but after looking up and down the rosters for the best, I realized that every name on both teams is an all-time great. McKay Jacobson, Curtis Brown, Cody Hoffman, David Nixon, Brady Poppinga, and the list goes on. Be sure to keep an eye out for these players, and make an effort to get out for the alumni game--it's always a really fun time.
