Kansas State came into town for a Saturday night showdown under the lights of LaVell Edwards Stadium, and many fans from the Sunflower State are leaving Provo with many positive memories.

From the outside, however, peering from behind the blinds in their darkened living room, Utah fans have taken to X to voice their distain for the BYU Cougars' hospitality for their conference foes.

From playing the visitor's fight song to giving away free ice cream to visiting fans, and even donating to a charitable cause for the other school's quarterback, Kansas State fans have been very quick to defend the Cougars for their hospitality.

BYU won this game against a top-15 team--in blowout fashion--while making a positive impression on their new conference peers. While creating a culture that wins is a critical aspect of college sports, BYU has an individual approach that extends beyond the bounds of a football stadium, and the university's mission bleeds into every facility under the Brigham Young University banner.

Football is no different, and weeks after the final whistle blows, a favorable position in the eyes of your conference means much more than seeing your school's name near the top of the standings.

And BYU is still winning football games, for those keeping track.
