BYU football is an extension of Brigham Young University as a whole and carries the same mission to lead with service and set an example of selflessness to others. You'll see it on the field in football contexts, with players lifting their opponents after a tackle or with complementary words of recognition during media appearances.

But it's always amazing to see the athletes make an impact off the field, rather than restricting themselves to purely being highlight makers between the sidelines.

Brothers Bear and Tiger Bachmeier transferred to BYU this past spring and have quickly risen up the depth chart in the short time since swapping Stanford Cardinal for BYU's royal blue. This has made my job far more difficult, as I desperately cling to my morals and abstain from making puns and animal kingdom references to their given names (I've written "I will not do a nature documentary bit" on the chalkboard thousands of times, but the urge still consumes me). Bear became the first true freshman in program history to start at quarterback in the first week of the season. Tiger claimed the punt returner role after several Parker Kingston fumbles opened the door.

These two have quickly become fan favorites in Utah Valley, but what we're seeing from these two off the field is just adding more reinforcement to the foundation of their BYU legacies. The pair grabbed a guitar and performed for a retirement home in the area, much to the delight of the audience.

Bear can be seen interacting with a woman in the front row, taking pictures, and collecting glowing endorsements from fans and participants, which shine a tremendous light on these two newcomers to the Beehive State.

Just try to watch this video without cracking a smile. It's impossible.

Yes, this video will be gold come the Cougars' matchup against the Mountaineers of West Virginia.
