BYU and Utah State have played a lot of games against each other. The Cougars and Aggies have met a total of 91 times, with the Cougars winning 57.7% of the games The teams have tied three games and BYU has won three straight dating back to 2019. The winner of each game gets to keep the Old Wagon Wheel, a large wagon wheel, symbolic of Utah's pioneer heritage.
2. Wyoming Cowboys: 47-38-3.
BYU and Wyoming have a long series, dating back to the November 14, 1992 win by the Cougars. BYU has won 60.1% of the meetings and ten straight. Recently, BYU traveled to Laramie and won 34-14. The Cougars are not scheduled to play the Cowboys anytime soon. The Cougars-Cowboys rivalry dates back to both teams competing in the Western Athletic Conference. 3. Colorado State: 39-27-3.
While the Cougars and Rams haven't met since 2010, BYU has a great series dating back to a 33-0 loss in November 1922. BYU and Colorado State are close in record, with BYU winning 58.7% of games. The teams have tied three times and BYU has a seven-game winning streak and the 2010 meeting was won 49-10. BYU and Colorado State shared time in the Mountain West Conference, where BYU dominated.
BYU has a lot of wins against these teams because of rivalries and regional proximity. BYU has played the most games against Utah State and Wyoming, each game a thriller.
