Part 5 of the Top 25 BYU basketball games you can watch for free online. Rivals beaten, giants slain, and the epic clash of top teams.

The BYU basketball team is slaving away in the Marriott Center Annex, and won’t begin its season for a few (long) months.

But, thanks to the internet, BYU fans can re-live some of the very best moments in Cougar history.

If you missed any of the previous installments, you can check them out below:

Part One, Part Two, Part Three and Part Four.

5. Waldo Throws his Mouthpiece (2014)

One year after the Dellavedagger, Saint Mary’s strutted into the Marriott Center, led by a landmass by the name of Brad Waldow.

Waldo wasn’t just big. Aggressive, a confident passer, and with a surprisingly soft touch. And, likely taking after Matthew Dellavedova, he had an enormous mouthpiece. It was black, with fangs drawn on it.

That probably says something about him.

Waldo played like a battleship, battering down his defender, ramming his girth into him to get to his spot. Most post players marking him could only hope to make him occasionally uncomfortable, maybe take a shot a step or so deeper than he liked.

In stepped freshman Eric Mika.

Now, Mika wasn’t quite the scoring machine in those days. That weight was carried by Tyler Haws and Kyle Collinsworth, and they anchored the offence in the second half to run by the Gaels. But Mika’s aggression frustrated Waldo on both ends, pushed him to the breaking point.

So he fired that monstrosity into the sideline scoreboard. That’s what you call a classic moment.
