The basketball offseason hasn't been very quiet for anyone, and that includes BYU basketball legend Jimmer Fredette, who retired from the sport and subsequently became the general manager of the Team USA 3 x 3 team he led into the Olympic Games. His old alma mater has been busy itself, gathering the most talented squad the Marriott Center has ever hosted.

Basketball fans have been eating well in Provo, what else is there to say at this point?

Apparently plenty, because Jimmer, alongside Spencer Linton of BYU Sports Nation, is hopping on the microphone with a brand new podcast.

From the Logo with Jimmer Fredette plans to host all-star guests and unlock the story behind the game with one of the most popular college basketball stars of all time at the helm. The podcast is already busy on X, getting fans involved and collecting questions to get their first episode going.

How will this podcast be different from the million and a half other player-hosted podcasts? A fair question, and one we'll have to find out when the first episode releases in a week's time. It seems in the modern age of basketball, essentially everyone with a voice is compressing that voice into episodic audio-only listening experiences. Some shows have set themselves apart (I was partial to The Old Man and the Three before Reddick became a head coach), and some have just added more slop to the pile.

Being an uncloseted fan of Fredette, and a close follower of his career, I'll certainly be tuning in and soaking up as much information as I can absorb from one of the greatest to ever do it in a BYU uniform.
