BYU football is finding its groove on the recruiting dance floor in the 2027 class -- and good thing, too, because sitting at 12th in the Big 12 Conference (a league with 16 members, for clarity's sake) isn't a great look for a team hoping to compete for the Big 12 Championship and a chance to represent the conference in the College Football Playoff.

From legacy recruits, to versatile athletes, BYU football is finally filling in the gaps in a recruiting pool that has been largely drained locally, thanks to an influx of activity from external recruiters like Oklahoma, Oregon, and others. It's a mess in the Beehive State, and BYU has been forced to look outside to draw in enough talent to support its star-studded foundation.

Fortunately, plenty of stars have joined the fray over the past week -- recruiting stars, that is. Let's highlight some of the biggest recruiting wins from the past few days.

It's raining stars over Provo

Lakepa Satuala - 3-star ATH

Our story: Three-star brother of BYU safety Faletau Satuala commits to Kalani Sitake's program

Yes, that Satuala. Lakepa is the younger brother of defensive ace Faletau Satuala, a player who was recently named as a preseason All-Big 12 Honoree after an insane sophomore season in the BYU secondary. Lakepa played both sides of the ball in high school, but likely joins the Cougars as a defensive addition like his brother.

Kyle Nabrotzky - 3-star OL

Nabrotzky received interest from some of the biggest names in college football, but this highly-coveted offensive lineman ultimately decided to run with Kalani Sitake and the BYU Cougars over James Franklin's Virginia Tech program and a rising SEC threat in Vanderbilt.

Uhila Wolfgramm - 4-star EDGE

Our story: BYU wins battle for 4-star Uhila Wolfgramm over new in-state recruiting nemesis: the Oklahoma Sooners?

This is the big one. The highest-rated recruit in the class to this point, Uhila emerged as one of the most exciting edge rushers in the 2027 pool at local Maple Mountain High School before ultimately deciding on BYU.

Peyton Higginson - 3-star ATH

Higginson was right in the crossfire of a three-way tug-of-war between Kyle Whittingham, Bronco Mendenhall, and Kalani Sitake (it's so nice to have the three of us back together again). BYU ultimately won out for the services of the Salem Hills High School star.
