The pipeline from Provo to the pros is strong, with 18 former BYU Cougars currently on NFL rosters. Here's how each of them performed in Week 8.
Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Stats: 4 rushes, 4 yards, 1 TD; 2 receptions, 10 yards
It was a tough week for Tyler Allgeier individually and for the Falcons' offense as a whole. Atlanta got waxed 34-10 by the Dolphins, with the Falcons as a team rushing 17 times for just 45 yards. While he did score a touchdown, which is nice, it came in garbage time with the Falcons training 34-3. I can't wait for him to leave Atlanta after this season so he can sign as a lead back elsewhere.
Zayne Anderson, S, Green Bay Packers
Stats: 1 fumble recovery
The fifth-year pro did his part on special teams in Green Bay's convincing win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football. While he didn't record any tackles, Anderson alertly pounced on a muffed Green Bay punt to retain possession for the Packers' offense. He has four tackles on the season.

Tyler Batty, DE, Minnesota Vikings
Stats: 3 tackles, 2 tackles for loss
After missing the first six games of his NFL career due to injury, undrafted rookie Tyler Batty is emerging for the Minnesota Vikings. After playing just three defensive snaps a week ago and registering his first career tackle, this week Batty played 28 defensive snaps and recorded three tackles with two tackles for loss. While Minnesota fell 37-10 to the Chargers on Thursday Night Football, it was a stellar night for the rookie from BYU.

Chris Brooks, RB, Green Bay Packers
Stats: Played special teams, no stats
It was an overall quiet Sunday Night Football appearance for the third-year running back and special teams His only real mention was being flagged for a hold on the game's opening kickoff. On the season he has two carries for two yards, five receptions for 30 yards, and six special teams tackles.
Brady Christensen, OG, Carolina Panthers
Stats: Started game then ruptured his Achilles
Oh, no. Not this. Not to Brady Christensen. The fifth-year pro reportedly ruptured his Achilles this week and will miss the rest of the season. Christensen was having a stellar season since being moved into the starting lineup several games ago. He was ranked by PFF as the No. 6 guard in the NFL coming into this week, essentially putting him at Pro Bowl caliber play. This is awful. Heal up, Brady!

Michael Davis, CB, New Orleans Saints
Stats: Entered game, no stats
The ninth-year pro continues to find his way in his new home with the Saints. Appearing in his third game for the Saints this season, he didn't record any stats in this week's loss. In his first two games leading up to this one he had played two defensive snaps and 20 on special teams so far his year.
Taysom Hill, TE, New Orleans Saints
Stats: 2 rushes, 6 yards; 1 reception, 6 yards
The 2025 season hasn't started off like Taysom Hill fans had hoped it would. After returning three weeks ago after last year's season-ending injury, Taysom is still trying to fit in the Saints offense this year. Prior to today's game he had nine carries for -4 yards (yes, negative), so at least he's back on the positive side of the rushing ledger this year. With New Orleans now 1-7 on the season, there's little incentive to invest more snaps and reps in a 35-year-old veteran.
Ryan Rehkow, P, Cincinnati Bengals
Stats: 3 punts, 58.0 yard average, 65-yard long
The second-year stud continues to perform as perhaps the best punter in the league. He entered Week 8 leading the NFL with an average of 52.3 yards per punt. His performance this week will only add to his outstanding season averages.

Kingsley Suamataia, OG, Kansas City Chiefs
Stats: Plays on Monday Night Football
The Chiefs starting left guard plays on Monday Night Football. The second-year lineman is currently ranked by PFF as the No. 32 of 78 guards in the NFL, so he's doing well in his new position after shifting inside from tackle last year.
Khyiris Tonga, DT, New England Patriots
Stats: 2 tackles, 1 tackle for loss; exited with injury
When is Khyiris Tonga going to get the love he deserves? He is having a brilliant season with the New England Patriots. Over the last four games the 335-pounder has racked up 11 tackles, an impressive sum for an interior defensive lineman. The Patriots are 6-2 on the season and Tonga is more than doing his "1/11th" in helping the Pats succeed.
But...he suffered an injury in the second half of today's game and did not return. The Patriots haven't announced the extent of the injury yet. He joins the list that has grown way too long of injured Cougars in the NFL.
Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Baltimore Ravens
Stats: 2 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 QB hit
The Ravens smoked the Chicago Bears 30-16 to get to 2-5 on the season. Baltimore desperately needs quarterback Lamar Jackson to return, and in the meantime Kyle Van Noy continues to do his part on the defensive side of the ball. The 12th-year veteran has eight tackles in five games this year with one sack.
Zach Wilson, QB, Miami Dolphins
Stats: 1-of-1 passing, 0 yards
Zach saw the field this week late in a Dolphins blowout win. He completed his only pass on the day but it didn't go for any yards. Miami improves its record to 2-6 with the victory. BYU fans should be hoping the Dolphins go on a bit of a run here so they will be more incentivized to play Zach Wilson in place of starter Tua Tagovailoa should he miss time instead of giving those reps to rookie Quinn Ewers.
