BYU football got their guy. Just a few days removed from the news that Bode Sparrow, the top recruit in the state of Utah and a four-star athlete, would be committing to Oklahoma, Kalani Sitake and company raked in a major recruiting win in the form of Blake Wong, a four-star wide receiver out of California and one of the best LDS recruits in his class.
It's been all Cougars for Wong, whose high school path has taken him from Crenshaw to Norco High Schools (both nicknamed the Cougars) to BYU (obviously nicknamed the Cougars).

He's been the team's top target at wide receiver in the class of 2027, as the only designated recruit at his position on BYU's recruiting board at large.
247's Jeff Hansen locked Wong's crystal ball projection to BYU just a few days ago -- clearly, he had good intel -- and also shared the following quote from Wong on why BYU's offer excited him in the first place.
"I am the only receiver they are even going after in the 2027 class," Wong said during his trip to campus. "And that has meant a lot just knowing how highly they think of me and what I could mean for their program in the future."
In pair with his commitment, Blake Wong posted the following edit to his social media channels. Featuring his high school highlights stitched together with highlights of great wide receivers like Puka Nacua, Darius Lassiter, and Chase Roberts, Wong appears to be a perfect fit in Kalani Sitake's program.
Not to burst the bubble of eloquence in my articles, but I have to say: this edit is sick.

As Wong's words echoed in his post, his ultimate goal is to play in the NFL. A program with precedent of sending two recent receivers to that level -- Puka Nacua and Chase Roberts -- he believes that BYU is the place to plant his roots and grow his game to acheive that objective.
He'll have a great time playing downfield target for Bear Bachmeier and Ryder Lyons.
