BYU football fans have turned their faces blue awaiting the commitment of one Ryder Lyons, a five-star quarterback prospect whose ties to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have kept Kalani Sitake and the BYU Cougars in his final six contenders up to today.

Now, we're on the precipice of decision day, and Lyons has proclaimed that "it's decision time."

Like Jaxson Dart before him, this five-star BYU recruit has been very closely tied to the USC Trojans, with 100% of experts on 247 Sports projecting Lyons to don the red and yellow in Los Angeles despite Lyons backing out on his official visit to USC.

He's still got two more visits on his itinerary: Oregon and BYU, in that order. Today, June 13th, the Ducks will host before Lyons ships off to Provo on the 19th.

That means Kalani and crew have the final shot at convincing Lyons to join their program, and lead the charge toward greatness at the highest level. Will the final word be a tremendous advantage for one of the nation's leaders in NIL support, or has this 5-star QB already made up his mind, and these trips to Eugene and Provo are mere formalities.

Now, decision day is fast approaching for this top-five quarterback prospect in the class of 2026. With essentially his choice of any given program, Lyons is keeping his cards close to the vest. More information may be on the horizon, but "decision time" may be more of a cable company-esque service window. In any case, the Cougars' recent quarterback troubles have opened the door for the signal caller of the future to fill in the vacancy sooner than later.
