BYU basketball is matching up with the Arizona Wildcats for the second time this season on Saturday, this time taking the fight to the McKale Memorial Center in Tucson, Arizona, for a grudge match between two strongly contending Big 12 squads.
With March implications on the line for both sides, BYU is coming off their first ranked victory of the season in the form of a 34-point home drubbing against the 23rd-ranked and reeling Kansas Jayhawks. A loss to Arizona wouldn't be devastating for BYU's postseason outlook, but a win could cement their spot in the postseason.
In the previous meeting, Arizona's red-hot shooting was on full display as Caleb Love and the Wildcats lit up the Cougar defense on 38% from long range on high volume. Recent losses indicate the Wildcats have cooled down significantly since their battle in Provo, however, as they've knocked through a disgusting 9% and 21% in games against Kansas State and Houston, respectively.
Arizona's Caleb Love went 4-for-9 from the arc at BYU; he has gone 3-for-28 in the four games since.

And things didn't improve much in that respect, even with a win against Baylor that saw the Wildcats connect on only 22% of their long-range attempts.
BYU, on the other hand, enters this game red-hot with the aforementioned win over Kansas, preceded by wins at West Virginia and against Kansas State.
Still, a road game in the Big 12 is never a favorable opportunity, regardless of momentum. BYU basketball faces a great challenge during their visit to Tuscon this weekend.
