Mihailo Boskovic's and-one secured BYU's last-second win over West Virginia

The Cougars saw a European seal the game for BYU in Morgantown, and it wasn't Egor Demin.

The ball swings to the right wing as precious moments disintegrate from the game clock. Thirteen seconds become twelve, then eleven.

BYU's Richie Saunders caught the ball with immediate reception from the West Virginia defense. As the Boskovic screen approached, a double team appeared laser-focused on trapping Saunders and forcing an inadvisable pass or shot.

Calm and unsurprised, Kevin Young's do-it-all guard essentially yawned as he found his screener on a slip to the basket. Mihailo Boskovic dove to the basket as he collected the pass, and gently laid in the game-winning bucket for BYU.

Boskovic, a Serbian import on this BYU roster, only played 10 minutes in this Big 12 epic, but his impact was undeniable when the team called his number in a critical minute.

"That's exactly how they drew it up," noted the game commentators during the aftermath. "They knew [West Virginia] were going to over-help on the screens and they slipped right to the basket."

The basket plus the foul got BYU's visiting faithful on their feet in riotous applause as the Cougars solidified their lead over the home Mountaineers.

Egor Demin led all scorers from BYU with 16 points on 50% shooting. In a game where everyone seemed to struggle converting shots into points -- unless you're Trey Stewart or Kanon Catcings, who were 3-3 for 8 points in only 6 minutes of play and 2-3 and 5-6 from the foul line, respectively. --Egor didn't accumulate nearly the number of assists one may expect.

Carrying the scoring load, however, is an aspect of his game that NBA scouts and draft analysts have been asking of BYU's lottery-projected guard. In a must-win game against West Virginia, Demin led the way and the Cougars have their swagger back.

In a 73-69 final, the Cougars picked up their 16th win of the season and keep their conference record above .500. West Virginia is a proven winner against some of the best teams in the Big 12, so securing an away victory over the Mountaineers is a March Madness resume-booster.
