The BYU basketball scouting team isn't done with their road trip and is currently eying a 4-star forward out of Archbishop John Carroll High. That forward's name is Luca Foster, a 6-foot-5 hooper who has been drawing the attention of many high-profile college hoops programs.

Foster is a top-100 recruit who is currently listed as the 72nd-rated player in his class and the top hooper in Pennsylvania, according to 247 Sports composite rankings. It's no wonder why his offer sheet is longer than King Hippo's grocery list.

Luca holds offers from the following programs:

  • Miami
  • Penn State
  • Villanova
  • Virginia Tech
  • Xavier
  • Temple
  • East Carolina
  • St John's
  • Saint Joseph's
  • Albany

As the commitment season for the class of '26 draws nearer, Foster's options will only increase.

A smooth and natural scorer, Foster is the kind of player any team would love to plug into their system, and he's officially on Kevin Young's radar. He can score at all 3 levels and almost glides across the court. Luca is more than happy to take his defender off the bounce and finish with an emphatic dunk.

Foster is a strong player who asserts his will when on the floor. He'll finish through contact and over any defender foolish enough to contest when Luca has a head full of steam and eyes locked on the rim. He boasts a buttery jumper that lands soft on the rim and a tight handle that gets him wherever he needs to be.

He'll be a player to watch in the coming year, as I'm certain that Luca's ascent is only beginning.
