Welcome to the Brigham Buffet, where hooping talent flows like water and every church activity takes place on a basketball court. We warmly invite you to take your pick of BYU basketball talent for the 2025 season and bask in the knowledge that this era of BYU athletics will be something never before seen on the floor of the Marriott Center.
Provo, Utah is quickly becoming a hotbed for basketball talent, as Kevin Young and his highly-experienced staff are building the foundation of a pseudo-NBA Academy on the campus of Brigham Young University.
Coaches have an impressive level of experience at the highest stages of the sport. Dieticians and strength and conditioning professionals stand at the ready to shape the futures of the incoming young men who set foot on the campus of Brigham Young University.
This is not best-case scenario--this is reality for the BYU basketball program.
Upon the news of AJ Dybantsa's commitment to the Cougars, the program has advanced beyond the possibility of becoming a national power. This team is a legitimate contender for Big 12 Championships, deep runs in the NCAA Tournament, and even non-conference battles with some of the premier squads at the college level.
With Dybantsa on the roster, BYU may be invited to non-conference tournaments like the Maui Invitational, Battle for Atlantis, and anywhere that gives national television a chance to display the top talent in college hoops.
That top talent resides in the state of Utah and will join the BYU Cougars in only a matter of months.

Dybantsa joins two four-star talents in Xavion Staton and Chamberlain Burgess in the 2025 class and has hinted at other players who may join the Cougars as they mull over their decisions. Burgess, unfortunately, won't share the floor with the recruits of this class as he leaves to serve a mission following graduation.
With that trio joining BYU basketball, the Cougars project to be among the most talented bunch in the nation, and 247 Sports composite rankings have jumped the Cougars just outside the top 10 recruiting class. BYU is now in a new class of competition, sitting at the same table with the likes of Alabama, Syracuse, and Auburn.
The work isn't finished yet, but BYU basketball keeps delivering reason after reason why the coming years will be different.
